The municipality of Tarmstedt is located in the agricultural region between Bremen and Hamburg. Once a year, the small town with its approximately 3,900 inhabitants becomes the center of northern German agriculture for four days: Since 1949, the Tarmstedt Exhibition has opened its doors every Friday to Monday on the second weekend in July.

Around 100,000 visitors then flock to the approximately 18-hectare exhibition grounds on the outskirts of the town, where some 750 exhibitors present innovations in agricultural technology, farming, rural living, gardening, leisure, and renewable energies. The entire town, with its many clubs, is involved, and the exhibition management also has regional roots.
