155th Derby-Meeting

The German Derby will take place annually at the Horner Rennbahn in Hamburg. For one week, the big derby meeting will be all about fast horses, exciting bets and extravagant hats.

The absolute highlight, as always, is the IDEE 155th German Derby, which will be run on Sunday at the tradition-rich racecourse and carries prize money of 650,000 euros. On this day, the successor of ''Sammarco'' will be sought, who won the Derby last year, giving a premiere to jockey Bauyrzhan Murzabayev. The IDEE Derby meeting focuses on the sport with up to 12 races per day, but Horn's legendary track is also an attractive meeting place for families and horse fans. Inside the grounds, the large marketplace and Kinderland await visitors.
