Kampnagel enjoys worldwide recognition as an international production house. It offers a multi-faceted platform for contemporary performing arts, as well as for concerts, conferences and a diverse range of festivals and thematic focuses.

Kampnagel's six stages provide a platform for international artists and the local Hamburg cultural scene. The diverse programme reflects a wide range of aesthetic viewpoints and groundbreaking developments - not only in theatre, dance and performance, but also in music, visual arts and architecture.

As an active part of the alliance of international production houses, the house is networked throughout Germany and cooperates with numerous partners on a global and local level.

In a season, more than 900 events are staged, attracting around 180,000 visitors. As an important meeting place for the queer community, Kampnagel expressly welcomes everyone!

Kampnagel also offers exciting experiences for families: At the annual Klangfest, children can explore sound worlds in a playful way, the Alabama Cinema regularly shows films for young audiences, and special theatre productions invite them to marvel and join in. This former factory site has become an inspiring cultural venue for visitors of all ages.
