The hvv ensures that you get away well everywhere
The hvv operates with its approximately 30 transport companies in a widely branched system of rapid transit, regional transport, and bus and ship lines in and around Hamburg. The extensive route network ensures good connections in the Hamburg districts as well as in the bordering on Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein circles and the Lower Saxony district.
After the expansion of the transport network to Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, the districts of Lauenburg, Pinneberg, Segeberg and Stormarn in the north and Harburg, Lüneburg and Stade in the south have also been fully integrated into the hvv.

Save yourself the time and stress behind the steering wheel. In the Hamburg area, S- and U- Trains as well as the Metro Buses run every weekday from 05:00 a.m. to around 11:00 p.m., usually every 5 to 10 minutes, at least every 20 minutes. On weekends in the nights from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday and before public holidays, the S- and U- trains in Hamburg and Norderstedt run every 20 minutes. City, express, regional and night buses complete the transportation network.
To make sure you get home safely, you can get off the bus between the stops at weekdays after 07:00 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays all day long on many bus routes in the Hamburg area.
Park & Ride facilities in the hvv
Simply park your car on a Park & Ride facility and change to train or bus. There are park & ride facilities in the fare rings A-E at around 110 rapid transit and regional transport stops, which are open day and night and some are even covered. In addition, there are parking spaces for bicycles, also a large part of it covered, available at many stops.

Furthermore, the personal online timetable offers the possibility of selecting criteria such as "without stairs" or "avoid changing trains". Many surburban and regional train stops are largely barrier-free, and the use of low-floor buses is steadily being expanded.
