Our Flex Option - The most important questions and answers

With the Flex Option, you have the option of rebooking or cancelling your booked trip up to 7 days before arrival without giving any reason. We will refund you the entire the travel price. The travel price is the total amount shown on the confirmation/invoice for the package holiday, less any premiums for insurance taken out with the booking and the amount shown for the flex option. These insurance premiums must also be paid in full in the event of cancellation. For bookings with a stated ticket price for musicals, opera, theatre or all other events, the cancellation fee is 100% of the ticket price.

The price for the Flex Option is EUR 14.90, regardless of the amount of the trip.

The Flex Option is offered to you by our staff when you book by telephone. If you book via our website, you will receive the Flex Option as a selection option in the shopping basket.

Yes, the Flex Option is transferred in the event of a rebooking and remains valid.

No, the Flex Option can only be selected when the booking is finalised. It is not possible to add it at a later date.

No. If you have opted for the Flex Option when completing your booking, it is no longer possible to cancel it at a later date.

With the Flex Option, you can rebook or cancel your trip up to 7 days before arrival. After that, the fees in the General Terms and Conditions of Hamburg Tourismus GmbH apply. If you would like to protect yourself against cancellation fees for the period less than 7 days before arrival, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance from our partner Hanse Merkur (please note the insurance conditions).

Yes, you can cancel your package holiday up to and including 7 days before arrival without giving a reason.

If you have booked the Flex Option and cancel your trip within the specified period, the deposit and, in the case of cancellations at short notice, the remaining payment will be refunded to you via the specified payment method. The entire travel price will be refunded, except for the amount shown on the booking confirmation for the Flex Option.
