The Christiansen bookshop is located in the heart of Ottensen. The family business is now in its fourth generation.

Individual and lovingly designed shops characterise the townscape of Altona. The Christiansen bookstore has been an integral part of the town centre since 1878.

Selection of books

The focus of the Christiansen bookshop is on fiction and books for children and young people. Also in stock: political and contemporary history non-fiction, English literature, selected graphic novels, audio books and much more.

More than a shop for books

Readings and event series take place at regular intervals in the Christiansen bookshop. The meetings of the open literature circles are held weekly and can be attended by interested parties at any time. A special highlight is the "AusleseZeit". Included in the bookshop, groups of two to ten people can browse through all the books to their heart's content. The event lasts three hours and starts after closing time. A dream for bookworms.
