Welcome to Germany's cruise metropolis! Regardless of whether your cruise begins or ends in Hamburg or a stopover is planned for one day, here you will find all important information. We describe the terminals, give tips for arrival and departure and name or link to attractive excursion destinations.
Hamburg has 3 cruise terminals. The most modern is the Cruise Center Steinwerder in the middle of the container port. It is particularly suitable for large ships with a length of up to 330 meters and a corresponding number of passengers. The Cruise Center HafenCity is the most chic - even if it is still a temporary facility until the official opening in 2021. The ships moor opposite the Elbphilharmonie, in the middle of one of the most exciting urban areas in Europe. The HafenCity is within walking distance. The most electrifying facility is the Cruise Center Altona, which was built next to the terminal of the former England ferry and borders the fish market with its restaurants and bars. It was the first to be equipped with a shore power system. The Überseebrücke is the oldest pier for cruise ships and is only used by small cruise ships. The museum ship CAP SAN DIEGO is also located here.
