Stadtpark Hamburg

The Hamburg Stadtpark with its more than 150 hectares is a real "multicultural location". On beautiful weekends, sometimes more than 200,000 people come here to enjoy sports, have a nice barbecue, make or listen to some music or simply relax.
In summer, the Stadtparksee becomes an open-air swimming pool - and apart from that, you can also enjoy pedal and rowing boats.

The planetarium in the former water tower is also always worth a visit: in addition to a unique journey through the universe, it regularly offers wonderful children's documentaries and chill out evenings.

The groves, bushes and embankments are home to a multitude of native and immigrated animal and plant species, and in summer the open-air stage invites you to interesting open-air concerts: from rock to folk, world-famous artists always like to come to "the park". In and around the Stadtpark there are of course also cafés and restaurants that await guests with snacks and delicacies. Very popular for evening events is the beer garden "Schumachers", which is located directly at the Stadtparksee outdoor pool. Further locations for relaxing are the beer garden "Landhaus Walter", "Café Sommerterrassen" and "Die Bucht".

The Harburg City Park covers an area of 21.5 hectares and surrounds the Außenmühlenteich, a lake of around 25 hectares in size. the well-tended meadows and rows of old trees create a relaxed atmosphere, while the lake with its water birds is a popular eye-catcher.

There are numerous options for active visitors: Jogging and walking trails, playgrounds for children and sports facilities such as mini golf and boccia. Rowing boats can also be hired on the Außenmühlenteich to enjoy nature from a different perspective.

Concerts, markets and open-air events take place regularly in the park, offering a varied program for young and old. Harburg City Park becomes a lively meeting place, especially in summer.

Location and accessibility

Harburger Stadtpark is located in the Harburg district and is accessible via several entrances. One central entrance is on Hohe Straße, another on Marmstorfer Weg. The nearest S-Bahn station is Hamburg-Harburg, from where the park is easily accessible on foot or by bus.
