It is not just a unique musical experience on offer; to mark the 100th anniversary, the audience will also be treated to rare insights from the Comedian Harmonists’ archive, courtesy of Mr Th. Niemeyer. The programme naturally features the Comedian Harmonists’ greatest hits, such as »Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus« and »Veronika, der Lenz ist da«. But you’ll also hear less familiar pieces such as »Die Nacht ist nicht allein zum Schlafen da« and »O sole mio«, as well as previously unreleased rarities, including a Kollo medley and »Das Wolgalied« from Robert Biberti’s original sheet music.
After a short break, the group has finally reunited with a few new members, and so the popular story continues. The ensemble brings the legendary sound of the original »Comedian Harmonists« back to life and has a brilliant grasp of the charming, tongue-in-cheek humour of the wild »Golden Twenties«.
