Ousman Conteh, also known as P-Soul, began dancing in 2004, inspired by his mother’s funk and disco records. Through his sister, a ballet dancer, he was introduced to the performing arts at an early age. Even as a child, he gained stage experience in the children’s choir and in school theatre productions. In 2004, he discovered hip hop through local B-boys at the youth centre. From 2005 onwards, international battles such as Juste Debout and Funkin Stylez sparked his deep enthusiasm for the scene. From 2007 onwards, he pursued a professional career in the field; he completed his A-levels in 2009 and subsequently set up his own business.His international achievements include choreography and stage dancing for two Seeed tours in 2018 and 2022, as well as appearances as a dancer on Peter Fox’s 2023 and 2024 tours. In 2019, he won the Battle Juste Debout in Korea alongside his partner Slunch. With his crew, he went on to secure further victories and perform at shows in Madagascar, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Austria, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia and other countries. Alongside his artistic work, Ousman Conteh is involved in anti-racist educational work with the Soulcial association. Since then, the organisation has organised demonstrations and run over 20 workshops at state schools in the Frankfurt area. Since 2020, he has been the owner of 1st Cut Dance Base in Gießen and teaches hip-hop both nationally and internationally.
The workshop includes a mix of choreography, freestyle, physical exercises and theory.
