Monastery treasures are waiting to be discovered!
For school children aged 8 to 12 years
This afternoon, you can discover some treasures at Lüne Monastery. Like detectives, we'll embark on a search for the treasures in the medieval monastery, exploring the various rooms along the way.
But who actually lives in the monastery? We visit a nun. This is a woman who lives in the monastery. She can answer our questions and tell us fascinating stories about the monastery. In the writing room, the scriptorium, we learn why books used to be so valuable. We want to write our own names and decorate the initial letters in beautiful colors and gold paint.
