Open Ship auf dem Schulschiff Rolf Deymann
- Other
For the first time, the ROLF DEYMANN, the floating centerpiece of the River Academy, is taking part in the HAMBURG PORT ANNIVERSARY – and cordially invites you to visit on board as part of the Open Ship event. This traditional training ship was built in 1963 as the PRINCESS CHRISTINA at the Dutch shipyard Vuijck & Zn. From the outset, it served as a training and further education vessel for inland navigation. Today, modernized and operating under the name ROLF DEYMANN, it is one of the last training ships of its kind still in operation in Europe – making it truly unique. The ship is operated by the River Academy, an independent training provider for inland navigation. The River Academy is part of the Deymann shipping company and specializes in practical training – from entry-level to management level. The realistic training concept is particularly noteworthy: participants live and learn directly on board – where they will later work.
Open Ship – Insight into the world of inland navigation: Visitors are cordially invited to experience the traditional training ship in person, talk to the crew and learn more about life and learning on board.
