Nils Holgersson is up to all sorts of mischief and is nasty to his family, even torturing the farm animals. One day, when he takes things too far, a little elf casts a spell that shrinks him to a tiny creature. Suddenly, Nils loses his superiority over the animals and, to his astonishment, even understands their language. Before he can fully comprehend what has happened, he's flying north with a flock of geese on the back of Martin, the domestic goose. Together, they experience all sorts of adventures.
As part of Hamburg's Family Day, admission to the performance is free for families. The performance starts at 3 p.m.
