... Location: Treffpunkthaus Heimfeld, Friedrich-Naumann-Straße 9
Host: Arne Poeck
Special Guest: Carnival Corpse Whether it's climate change, militarization, animal suffering, or simply the good old fear of meaninglessness and death – nothing is safe from the carnivalesque treatment!
Carnival Corpse tackles all of this with ballads, epic rock passages, and acoustic funk-metal riffs: Why limit yourself to one genre when you can have them all?

Admission is free; donations are welcome. We always need enthusiastic volunteers for the event!
The basic idea of a poetry slam is not just to read texts, but to perform them in the form of a performance, for example, by shouting, whispering, howling, or panting. Rhythmic and memorized delivery can also enhance the impact of a performance. The texts presented are often designed for stage performance and are only partially conveyed in printed form.
These are our rules: Only original texts may be performed. The time limit is 5 minutes, which can be extended if the audience is enthusiastic. The texts are judged by a jury from the audience. The jury is spontaneously appointed by the hosts at the beginning of the event. The jury rates the texts on a scale of 1 to 10. One is utterly terrible, and 10 is a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature. The winner is the one who receives the most points from the jury. There might
also be a final round.
