In the »String Instruments« workshop, participants can try out and get to know violins, violas, cellos and double basses at the Elbphilharmonie. Members of the Javus Quartett provide expert guidance as participants explore the instruments. During the visit to a Hamburg violin-maker’s workshop, participants discover first-hand how much craftsmanship goes into creating such an instrument. And to close, the Javus Quartett demonstrates what’s possible with string instruments.
The workshop is connected to the Javus Quartet concert on 20 January 2027.
