The »String Instruments« workshop is an opportunity to look over the shoulder of a violin-maker and have a go at playing a violin or even a double bass yourself. During the visit to a Hamburg violin-maker’s workshop, participants discover first-hand how much craftsmanship goes into creating such an instrument. And to close, the Javus Quartett demonstrates what’s possible with string instruments.
