# Hamburg Beer Week 2026 brings Oregon to Hamburg

From **20 to 30 August 2026**, Hamburg Beer Week celebrates Hamburg’s beer culture – this year under the motto **“HHBW Oregon”**. Around **40 events** at breweries, restaurants, bars and selected venues across the city will bring together craft beer, tastings, cruises, food pairings and special beers from Hamburg and Oregon.
## Description
**Hamburg Beer Week 2026** creates a transatlantic connection between Hamburg and Oregon, one of the most exciting craft beer regions in the United States. For the first time, the HHBW collaboration brew was brewed in the US: the **HHBW Oregon Session IPA** was created in Portland at **Steeplejack Brewing** – inside a former wooden church – and will be available during HHBW both on draft and in cans.
Alongside Hamburg beers and events from the local beer community, selected beers from Oregon will take centre stage in 2026. The HHBW journey led from Portland to the Pacific Coast, then on to Bend and Hood River. Part of this journey is now coming to Hamburg by ship: featured breweries include **Deschutes, Steeplejack, Wayfinder, Great Notion, Fort George, Buoy Beer, Obelisk, UPP Liquids, Solera, pFriem** and **Funky Fauna**.
Highlights include the **Opening Cruise** on 20 August, the **Oregon Cruise**, a **Fish & Beer Pairing Cruise** and several **Oregon Beer Tastings** at selected Hamburg restaurants and bars. In addition, breweries, bars, restaurants, shops and tourism partners across the city will host numerous events throughout the festival.
Since 2020, Hamburg Beer Week has brought together breweries, gastronomy, retail, tourism, the creative scene and beer lovers. What makes it special: Hamburg’s beer community presents itself not as a collection of individual brands, but as a lively, open network.
