With his new program »The Silent Friend«, Ferdinand von Schirach returns to the stage: it tells of human triumphs and failures – of friendship, hope, the Greek Stoics, and death. The program will take on a unique form of its own, inspired by the book of the same name. However, it will only be experienced on stage in this way.
Please note that the event will be held in German.
Der Spiegel called Ferdinand von Schirach a »brilliant storyteller«, The New York Times described him as an »exceptional stylist«, The Independent compared him to Kafka and Kleist, The Financial Times to Raymond Carver, and The Daily Telegraph wrote that he is »one of the most distinctive voices in European literature«. His books have been adapted into films multiple times and have become international bestsellers, selling millions of copies. They have been published in over forty countries. His plays »Terror« and »God« are among the most successful and widely discussed contemporary dramas worldwide.
