DOORS OPEN 7.00
pm, SHOW STARTS 8.00 pm

Ray Wilson, the former lead singer of Genesis, presents the greatest hits from the band’s history and his solo career.

Multifaceted song structures from the band’s progressive rock era, alongside pop hits from the 1970s to the 1990s, blend into a wide variety of arrangements – a new dimension to Genesis, without the songs losing their original character. This is guaranteed by the unique voice of Ray Wilson, who, with the last Genesis album *Calling All Stations* alone, recorded the fourth best-selling album in the band’s history.

Twenty years after the release of *Calling All Stations*, Ray Wilson and his band will be performing the best tracks from this album. His repertoire naturally includes all the hits such as ‘Congo’, ‘Not About Us’ and ‘Shipwrecked’, as well as popular live tracks like ‘The Dividing Line’, which stands out thanks to its powerful drum solo and the impressive duel between the lead guitars. This naturally also includes the title track ‘Calling All Stations’ as well as other Genesis classics such as ‘No Son of Mine’, ‘Carpet Crawlers’ and ‘Mama’, complemented by songs from his solo career.

*Calling All Stations* was the final studio album by one of the most successful rock bands of all time. Genesis were inducted into the famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the most significant and influential bands, having sold over 150 million records worldwide.

2016 was a very special year for Ray Wilson and his band. No fewer than two new solo albums were released – including the acoustic-style *Song for a Friend* and the rockier *Makes Me Think of Home*.

Ray Wilson, who was honoured by Classic Rock Magazine as one of Britain’s top-class singers, is renowned for his powerful stage presence and electrifying performances. His show promises a unique concert experience for anyone who appreciates great live music.

Ray Wilson’s international music career began in 1994 with the grunge sensation Stiltskin, when he stormed the charts with the number-one hit ‘Inside’. The song was used for years as the global advertising jingle for the jeans brand Levi’s. In 1997, the Scotsman joined the British rock legends Genesis, replacing Phil Collins as lead singer. Following the release of their jointly produced album *Calling All Stations*, they embarked on a successful stadium tour across Europe and North America.

Following the break-up of Genesis, Ray Wilson played in Germany with musical greats such as Marius Müller-Westernhagen and the Turntablerockers, amongst others. He shared the stage with the Scorpions and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra at the opening concert of the EXPO World Exhibition in Hanover.

In 2003, Ray Wilson released his first solo album, *Change*, and promoted it during his tour – featuring over 50 concerts in Germany alone – alongside Joe Jackson and the band Saga. For the song *Yet Another Day*, he collaborated with the Dutch star DJ Armin van Buuren; the track effortlessly reached number one in the dance charts. In the years that followed, Ray Wilson toured Europe with Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries and Roger Hodgson, the frontman of Supertramp.

Ray Wilson is regarded as a charming and exceptional singer and, with his charismatic stage presence, has made a name for himself worldwide as an excellent entertainer. With typical Scottish composure, he combines the energy of rock with sophisticated lyrics.

With the double album *Upon My Life*, Ray Wilson released songs spanning the past 20 years following his time with Genesis. The tracks are taken from a total of nine studio albums, including solo, Stiltskin and CUT releases, on which he was involved as a songwriter and musician. *Upon My Life* captures the memories and emotions of his extraordinary career. The album also features two new tracks: ‘Come the End of the World’ and ‘I Wait and I Pray’. Both songs are inspired by a politically divided, environmentally changed and increasingly polarised world. Ray Wilson deliberately released this album on the day the UK left the European Union.
