Chilean composer, producer and performer Diego Noguera has established an international reputation through his compelling fusion of classical and experimental music. His artistic path has repeatedly crossed that of Sasha Waltz, with whom he has collaborated on acclaimed projects such as »Beethoven 7« and »for the time being«. It is therefore only fitting that Waltz has invited Noguera to perform at the »Reflektor« festival she has curated.
Through the richly layered textures of acoustic and electronic instruments, combined with the use of voice, he creates a musical landscape that allows everyday concerns to fade away, leaving audiences to return home in an almost trance-like state. Musically, he moves effortlessly between experimental ambient music and techno. In Hamburg, too, his live set is certain to captivate audiences.
A leading figure in the experimental music scene, Noguera has built an extensive portfolio of compositions for theatre, film and dance. His international projects have led to world premieres in Chile, Singapore, the United States and across Europe. Along the way, he has collaborated with renowned choreographers including Sasha Waltz and José Vidal, film director Lemohang Mosese and theatre director Manuela Infante.
