Classical music on a play mat – the whole young family in the concert hall – it’s both exciting and relaxing!
At the baby concert, professional musicians perform a selection of baby-friendly classical pieces in the concert hall, whilst the babies (aged 0–2) listen along with their parents, siblings, grandparents, godparents and friends on their play mats.
The babies are free to laugh, cry, babble, sing and giggle – nobody minds. There’s plenty of space indoors for pushchairs and several nappy-changing facilities. Classical music stimulates and soothes babies. Live classical music, with its vibrations, moves babies even more deeply than CDs; babies are particularly enchanted by the sounds of strings and harps. It can be difficult to go out with a baby, especially in the early days – as a couple, and then with the baby too – but at a baby concert, the whole family can enjoy it together.
