At Schmidts Tivoli on Spielbudenplatz, the heartbeat of the Reeperbahn comes alive. Since opening on 1 September 1991, the theatre has offered a diverse programme and a unique atmosphere – with 612 seats that bring the audience close to the action. For over 125 years, the HANSA-Theatersaal has stood for first-class acrobatics and the finest entertainment from all over the world. Since its opening on 5 March 1894, over 37 million spectators have visited Hamburg's oldest variety theatre.
