Binnenalster Filmfest

Unique open-air cinema in the middle of Hamburg

The floating cinema screen directly on the Binnenalster transforms the Jungfernstieg into an atmospheric open-air cinema every year at the beginning of autumn. Together with other visitors, enjoy great cinema under the open sky for four evenings in a row!

That only happens in Hamburg! A cinema screen floating on the Binnenalster and in front of it numerous spectators who follow the program spellbound. At the Binnenalster Filmfest, which is a cooperation of the City Management Hamburg, the Filmfest Hamburg and the association Lebendiger Jungfernstieg e.V., one film per evening is shown every year in the first week of September on four evenings in a row. The program begins each evening at dusk from 8:30 p.m. at the Alster pier on Jungfernstieg and is the ideal conclusion to a shopping tour. But the Binnealster Filmfest in Hamburg is also worth a visit as a cultural highlight in late summer.
