Klassik Philharmonie Hamburg

The repertoire of the elite orchestra comprises all of the composers from the baroque to the modern, all ranges of style from the weighty symphonic to light entertainment.

A special highlight since 1996 is the "Hamburg Last Night of the Proms" concert, recreating the atmosphere of London in Hamburg.

The KlassikPhilharmonie Hamburg (formerly the Hamburg Mozart Orchestra) was founded in 1978 by conductor Robert Stehli who continues to conduct the orchestra today. It performs concerts in two formations: As a chamber orchestra with 23 musicians - the original Mozart Orchestra and as a chamber symphony orchestra with 55 musicians - the KlassikPhilharmonie.

In Hamburg, the orchestra usually presents its concerts in the Laeiszhalle.
