Climbing parks & halls

Climbing on the island. One of the most modern climbing gyms in Germany, the Nordwandhalle, is located on the Inselpark site with a great connection directly at the Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg S-Bahn station. It has a spacious bouldering area with everything the boulderer's heart could desire. With overhang and routes that are regularly rebuilt, you can always look for new challenges here. When the sun is shining, you can also climb on an outdoor wall. The hall has more than 320 climbing routes with different levels of difficulty, for beginners, advanced and professionals, on a wall area of 4500 m2. Those who have never climbed before can take advantage of the extensive courses for beginners. Even advanced climbers can improve their technique in the appropriate courses. Anyone planning a special event in Hamburg has the opportunity to combine children's birthdays and company celebrations with sport and fun and to host them in the Nordwandhalle.

Everything for the alpinist. In Lokstedt, north of Eimsbüttel, you can go on steep walks in the DAV climbing centre. The largest climbing facility in Northern Germany offers beautiful bouldering areas where many bouldering problems can be solved. There are also 500 climbing routes in the three halls, and in addition to the climbing courses and offers, there are also competitions  where you can climb or cheer on the participants. A large outdoor area rounds off the DAV climbing centre's range of services and thus always offers a suitable route in good and bad weather. The entrance fee for members of the Alpine Club is reduced.

The Boulderhalle in Bahrenfeld. This bouldering spot in Bahrenfeld offers a sporty, bright ambience and many, many routes. In addition to the classic walls, the FLASHH has come up with some special features to make the bouldering experience perfect. For example, the boulder diamond, which continuously turns itself and promises exciting climbing. At FLASHH you can relax with yoga after climbing and there are also many workshops, massages and shiatsu that complement and round off the sports experience. Next to the sports area there is a separate children's area with lots of space, extra soft mats and colourful holds.

The bouldering hall with flair. The Salon du Bloc in Eppendorf can best be described as a playground for adults. Angled and with many exciting routes and overhangs, you can boulder through the half-height room and then relax in the sofas and drink a coffee. The boulder hall with its cosy atmosphere is a lot of fun for everyone who likes to climb. In addition to the large climbing area, the Salon du Bloc also has a sauna for those who haven't sweated enough on the wall.

Climbing between the trees. In the middle of the Volksdorf forest, you can enjoy seven exciting courses in the climbing forest of Hamburg, where you can enjoy nature in the ropes course. The different paths are between 2 and 10 metres high, so that beginners as well as more daring climbers will get their money's worth. Do you want to have a different kind of bachelor party? The climbing forest offers a variety of events, such as Climb & BBQ or birthday parties.

Climbing adventures for the whole family. HanseRock offers 39 climbing stations in the beautiful Inselpark, very close to the Nordwandhalle. There you can climb exciting routes through dragon boats, pyramids or the Berlin Wall.

Team Climbing de Luxe: Cap San Diego offers a real sense of adventure when you climb the ship's masts in a group at a height of 30 metres or descend deep into the belly of the ship into abandoned holds. Groups of 10-45 persons or more should plan three hours for this Hamburg highlight. BBQ on the pool deck.

Climbing between the masts. On board the Rickmer Rickmers, the climbing route leads from the main mast via the shrouds to the second sailing, where a viewing platform promises an extraordinary view over Hamburg harbour. Both longer and shorter climbing routes can be arranged so that there is something for everyone.

Climbing park for young and old. Very close to Hamburg, the climbing park invites you to explore the treetops. Five routes with a total of 48 stations offer variety, and those looking for the extra kick will get their money's worth at the free-fall facility at a height of 13 metres. A kiosk, idyllic picnic facilities, a large outdoor area with tipi and archery range round off the day outdoors.

Climbing in the Schanze. Kilimanschanzo in the Schanzenpark at the Hochbunker offers an urban experience. At this non-commercial, free climbing spot you can conquer a 20 meter high graffiti bunker.
