The George Hotel Hamburg in the district of St. Georg is in the immediate vicinity of the Alster Lake and the bucolic green areas surrounding it. The city center is less than five minutes away by car or a 15-minute walk. The nearby underground station Lohmühlenstrasse provides public transportation connections to the rest of town.

The four-star hotel, decorated throughout in British style, has over 125 rooms all equipped with iPod player, flat screen television, safe, tea and coffee maker and free Internet access. Paid parking is available in the hotel´s underground garage.

The hotel restaurant “DaCaio” serves Italian cuisine with daily changing menus and compatible wines. The bar by the same name opens for afternoon tea, serving cocktails and whisky later on in the evening. The hotel library is small but select, and is perfectly situated for watching the goings-on in the hotel lobby or enjoying the view of the cherry trees in the English garden. Since March 31,2023 the spa area has been discontinued. The sauna is expected to reopen in autumn 2023. The hotel features meeting and banquet space accommodating up to 75 guests.
