The "Markthalle" ("Market Hall") has now been an established part of Hamburg music culture for 35 years. Not only because of its central location and artists such as AC/DC, The Police, Beastie Boys or The Clash, who have already performed on stage at the traditional club.
The large hall of the Markthalle with its rounded arch stage can hold 1100 people (without seating) and 750 people (with seating). With its unique amphitheatre flair and the step arrangement typical of such constructions, the concert hall is a highlight for any concert-goer, offering a superb view and outstanding sound.
