If you read through Luigi's guestbook entries, one thing becomes clear quickly: the guests are enthusiastic. Many of them are regulars and visit the restaurant in the Portuguese Quarter frequently, while others are only tourists and mourn Luigi's pizzas when they have to leave Hamburg again. Besides the food, the ambience is incomparable. A bit kitschy, a bit quaint, colorful but still cosy and homey, Luigi's is a nice place to be - even though it seems quite inconspicuous at first glance.

The pizzas are prepared in a wood oven. There are classic varieties like Margherita and Prosciutto e Funghi, but also more refined options like the Pizza Poke, topped with salmon, corn, cucumber, avocado and rocket, or Pizza Tartufada with fresh mozzarella, truffles, dried tomatoes and pine nuts. The pasta is also homemade and always freshly prepared. Since the restaurant uses only fresh ingredients, there are regularly new seasonal dishes to discover on the menu.
