Here you'll find traditionally malty, hoppy craft beers and refreshingly fruity ales served in the cozy backyard or taproom.

In a rather inconspicuous building in Alsterdorf lies one of Hamburg's smallest breweries: Circle8Brewery. Here you can get handmade ale fresh from the barrel, which can enjoyed right in the cozy backyard.

The brewery was founded by Nikhil Janie, a London-born Hamburg native who describes himself as a passionate beer connoisseur and pub-goer. Over the years, he learned everything there is to know about beer: History, origin, culture, ingredients, and, of course, production. At first, however, only he himself (and presumably his friends) get to enjoy the homebrew. But over time, the result gets better and better and the dream of his own brewery becomes tangible. In 2015, the doors of Circle 8 opened in the backyard of an old laundry. The former microbrewery quickly became a somewhat less small brewery - today, beer lovers can drink their way through 12 different beers in the taproom.

Among them are traditionally malty, hoppy craft beers as well as refreshingly fruity ales. Cheers!
