The traditional Großflottbeker Tennis, Hockey and Golf Club in the west of Hamburg is inviting for a golf match in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Großflottbeker Tennis, Hockey and Golf Club is the smallest and one of the oldest golf courses in Germany. Guests, who are members of recognised clubs and with a minimum handicap of -36 are welcome during week days.

Close to the tram station Othmarschen and with this only a few minutes by car from the center of Hamburg the Großflottbeker tennis, hockey and golf club invite for a golf match in a family-friendly atmosphere. The golf course of the club was build more than one hundred years ago and thus belongs to one of the oldest of the region. With its challenging 6-hole course it also belongs to the smallest courses in the nation.

For practice they provide a putting and pitching green as well as a small training center. Additionally, lessons from a golfing professional are offered. Members of accepted golf clubs with a minimum handicap of 36 are allowed to play on weekdays (depending on occupation). On weekends and holidays green fee players are only allowed to visit in company of a member of the GTHG Club. Tuesday is women’s day.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Blankenese & Elbe outskirts

The former fishing and seamen's village of Blankenese is situated directly on the Elbe. It is the perfect starting point for hopping on a sailing boat or on the Elbe ferry, or for taking long walks along the shore. Another highlight is a visit to the Treppenviertel (German for staircase quartier) with a spectacular view of the lighthouse and the Falkenstein shore.
