The Wiese Schwanenwik on the Alster is considered one of the most popular green spots in Hamburg. It is only a few minutes away from the city centre by foot, along Schwanenwik street. Until the 1920s, there was a public bath here; today, no remnants of this remain. However, the large Alsterwiese offers visitors room for numerous athletic or relaxing activities. Football and Frisbee are among the most frequent. But park visitors can also have wonderful barbecues or enjoy the sun here.
