Hamburg International Queer Film Festival

The Hamburg International Queer Film Festival is Germany's oldest and largest queer film festival. Every October, current film productions are shown at the Film Days - with a special focus on diversity.

The spectacle is located in various cinemas in Hamburg and at multiple supporting events. Started as the Lesbian-Gay Film Days, the event has firmly established itself in the national and international scene as the Queer Film Festival. As the second largest film event in the Hanseatic city, the event attracts over 15,000 visitors.

The film festival: 14 to 19 October 2025

The special thing about the five film days in October is the close connection to the audience and the queer community.
