Hamburg's floating stage for the best entertainment

Historic Deichstraße, UNESCO World Heritage Speicherstadt, modern Hafen-City, Elbphilharmonie and in the middle of it all, the traditional Hamburg theatre ship. On its own pontoons in the Nikolaifleet / Holzbrücke 2, right next to the wooden bridge, the theatre's ‘rooms’ are spread over a total of three ships - the Thespiskahn, where the costumes and props can be found, the wardrobe ship and, of course, the theatre ship itself.

Small stage, big effect

On Europe's only ocean-going stage, no audience member sits more than seven metres away from the action. It is this unique proximity that creates the special atmosphere and the great attraction for everyone involved. Anyone who has ever been to Hamburg's floating stage for the best entertainment will rave about its unique atmosphere.
