Neue Horizonte Guided Tour

During the city tour "Neue Horizonte" from the HafenCity to the Elbe bridges, you will receive background information about the high sustainability standards of Hamburg's new city quarters.

In April 2026, HafenCity Hamburg GmbH opened “Hafen.City.Horizonte. – Forum for City & Future,” a new venue designed to bring the areas and themes of its urban development to life. It is located in the Baakenhafen district, right in the heart of the final major construction phase of HafenCity and near Grasbrook and the Billebogen. It brings the progress in these three areas in particular to life, as well as the central themes of sustainability and innovation. Multimedia exhibits and plans, as well as regular tours and other events, are part of the program, which is aimed at a professionally interested audience—such as developers and investors—as well as schoolchildren, college students, tourists, neighbors, and the general public.

Public tours are held every weekend for anyone interested. No registration is required:

Tour 1: City Life in HafenCity: Experience Urban Diversity

On this tour, you’ll learn more about how HafenCity is used. From recreational activities and cultural experiences to local amenities: this 2-hour tour takes you to the everyday spots in this young neighborhood.

Tour 2: Urban Space in HafenCity: Understanding Sustainable Infrastructure

On this tour, you’ll focus on the innovative aspects of HafenCity. From flood protection to new construction and rainwater management: this 2-hour tour offers insights into the future of urban development.
