The final exhibition of the Hamburg Grants for Visual Arts provides a platform for promising artists every year thus offering an insight into the latest developments of art production in the city. On display will be works created by the ten grantees Eda Aslan, Asma Ben Slama, Vedad Divović, Catalina González González, Maik Gräf, Nizan Kasper, Simone Kessler, Kenneth Lin, Lulu MacDonald and Jagrut Raval during their scholarship. They critically engage with established forms of remembrance, global consumption cycles and institutional structures based on media spanning photography, sculpture, performance, video and multimedia installations. Moving between archive and fiction, documentation and speculation, they highlight fractures and gaps in familiar images and narratives.

During a guided tour of the exhibition with curator Jaana Heine, participants will gain exclusive insights into the development of the exhibition and learn more about the various artistic practices and the themes explored in the grantees’ works. Visitors are warmly invited to share their impressions and reflections, ask questions and explore different perspectives on the artworks together.
