We tell the story "The Potato King" by Antje Bohnstedt
and Simone Klement as Kamishibai. In this narrative theater, large picture cards are inserted into a wooden frame and displayed to accompany the story.
A particularly large potato decides it doesn't want to be eaten and declares itself the Potato King. It nimbly escapes not only its grandmother's cooking pot, but also all the greedy animals. Only then does it willingly allow itself to be turned into potato pancakes for two poor, hungry children.
Registration is not necessary.
