The two nature reserves Höltigbaum and Stellmoor Tunneltal are popular destinations for excursions. Horse riders, hikers and walkers criss-cross the varied hilly landscape. Inline skaters do their laps on the wide concrete path.

Various circular hiking trails with significant names such as "Glacier Trace" or "Gallo-Way" lead through the nature reserves.
