Wibke Albrecht - Vernissage Glanz & Gloria
  • Exhibition

© Wibke Albrecht

When it comes to horses, Wibke Albrecht is our “woman”. No one else is able to showcase the special body tension of polo or racing horses with their elegance and grace like she does. The Schleswig-Holstein native is known beyond Germany's borders and her pictures with their unique luminosity are a crowd puller.

“My painting technique is complex, but it's worth it,” explains the artist, because up to 20 layers of acrylic paint have to be placed on top of each other to achieve this radiance.

The artist also recently finds strength, elegance and grace in the realization of her paintings of women, which are now being exhibited in the Residenz Galerie for the first time.
Women with attitude, pride, grace, but also a bit reserved and waiting. At the same time curious and warning not to mess with them. These women challenge us to meet them as equals because they are aware of their worth.
Wibke Albrecht's artworks have received international recognition and are sold worldwide.

This year she is the cover image for the Blankenese Art Mile, which, with its powerful dynamics, liveliness, elegance and bold choice of colors, speaks not only for the art of the Art Mile, but also for our beautiful districts in the west of Hamburg.

The Elbschloss Residenz is very pleased to present Wibke Albrecht's works of art to you. Take the opportunity to meet the artist in person and accept our invitation to the vernissage on April 6th at 4 p.m. in our renowned residency gallery.

We look forward to seeing you!
