In the coming winter season, the Loki Schmidt Garden will be transformed into a fairytale and glowing landscape. With breathtaking light shows, artfully designed architecture and imaginative illuminated figures, the Christmas Garden will be created here - an idyllic, Christmassy open-air

The story

In 2016, the Christmas Garden had its premiere event in Berlin. Due to the overwhelming success, further locations were quickly added, so that by 2022 there were already 19 locations in Germany and Europe. In 2022, a total of about 1.9 million visitors were counted. Within just a few years, the Christmas Garden has developed into a radiant highlight that captivates hundreds of thousands of people during the winter season.

About the event

The Christmas Garden Hamburg takes its visitors on a two-kilometre walk through the Loki-Schmidt-Garden into a magical Christmas world. The Christmas Garden promises an experience that combines all the elements of an extraordinary Christmas excursion for adults and children alike.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Blankenese & Elbe outskirts

The former fishing and seamen's village of Blankenese is situated directly on the Elbe. It is the perfect starting point for hopping on a sailing boat or on the Elbe ferry, or for taking long walks along the shore. Another highlight is a visit to the Treppenviertel (German for staircase quartier) with a spectacular view of the lighthouse and the Falkenstein shore.
