Food Lovers Market Blankenese

A weekly market with a special family flair.

The weekly market of Blankenese has a long tradition. Goods have been offered here since 1929 - today even partly in the fourth generation.  The location of the market place in the centre of Blankenese was already popular in village times. Today not much has changed. One meets the neighbour for a coffee, tells the hairdresser about the latest gossip and does his weekly shopping on the side. But it is not only the numerous residents who shop here that create a feeling of village community. Also the market stalls, which are mainly maintained by family businesses, give the whole a family flair. And also the products can be seen - regional fruit and vegetables, meat and fish products, pot plants or tasty antipasti. There's hardly anything that doesn't exist!

Experience sustainability

Every Wednesday the food lovers market takes place in the Blankeneser Bahnhofstraße from 09.00 - 13.00. Numerous organic products can also be found here on the other days. As well as products from our own regional production.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Blankenese & Elbe outskirts

The former fishing and seamen's village of Blankenese is situated directly on the Elbe. It is the perfect starting point for hopping on a sailing boat or on the Elbe ferry, or for taking long walks along the shore. Another highlight is a visit to the Treppenviertel (German for staircase quartier) with a spectacular view of the lighthouse and the Falkenstein shore.

Scandinavia has more to offer than just crime novels – it also has style. Die Pampi

Following the motto 'items from the heart for young and old' the concept stores called 'Die Pampi' mark their home in Hamburg’s trend neighborhoods Eimsbüttel and Winterhude. They seem to be at the heart for Scandinavian design in the city and if you are looking around the store you’ll immediately know why.
