Informal, rustic, unique: Til Schweiger’s “Barefood Deli” in the heart of Hamburg’s city centre impresses guests with its simplicity.
The media attention was remarkable when Til Schweiger opened his "Barefood Deli" in Hamburg with a fully booked house and many celebrity guests. That his restaurant is not just a PR gag is demonstrated by the high-quality interior decorating and of course, the food.
Diners at the Barefood Deli find themselves in an almost family-style atmosphere, expressed by its down-to-earth ambience. The room is bright and cosy, the wooden floor lends additional warmth. The walls of the restaurants are decorated with photos of Schweiger’s friends and family, who can also be found on the menu.
Guests can order, for example, the home-brewed “Tils” beer, the “Emma” wine or even “Lilli’s summer tea”. Otherwise, the menu resembles the restaurant: Calm but multi-faceted. From delicious breakfasts to vegetarian food to burgers, everything including the dessert menu with "apple strudel from Strudel-Horst" or the "Hot Polar Bear" sounds delicious.
In addition to the standard menu, the "Deli" Barefood offers menus that change weekly as well as a special supper menu - and everything is kept deliberately simple. Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. is brunch-time. In the evening, Hamburg DJs play beats to eat by; there’s room for around 200 guests in the restaurant.
