The Port of Hamburg is the maritime gateway to the world. When you watch the ships, you get a whiff of adventure in your nose. With the ship finder, you can see what's going on in the harbour and on the Elbe - even from the comfort of your own home. If you want to experience all ship positions live, you can easily follow the ship traffic of all cruise ships and many more "big pots"!
The map shows the ship positions in the port of Hamburg in real time. The colour indicates whether the ship is a passenger ship (blue) or a cargo ship (green). An arrow marks a ship in motion, a rhombus indicates that a ship is in port or at anchor. If you move the mouse pointer over one of the ships, you will see its name; when you click on it, additional information such as size, draught, ship type, flag, speed, destination and route will open.
Within the map you can move the section with the arrows at the right edge and change the zoom level with the plus/minus scale. This allows you, for example, to see which ships are currently passing the mouth of the Elbe and are expected in port a few hours later. The exact positions are updated every 60 seconds so you don't miss a thing. The Ship Finder is also available via the free Hamurg Tourism App in the Google Play Store for Android and in the Apple App Store for the iPhone, so you can always keep an eye on the current position of the ships while on the move.
Whether AIDA cruise ships, the Mein Schiff fleets or the unmistakable Hamburg cargo ships, with this ship radar you will never miss a ship's arrival - whether virtually or locally - in the Port of Hamburg.
