The Turkish Music Choir Hamburg invites to a special concert evening in the traditional Laeiszhalle. Under the title »Hicaz Fasil ve Suat Sayın Besteleri«, a selection of timeless works of classical Turkish music will be performed. The programme takes the audience on a journey through the fascinating world of the Hicaz key, which has been touching hearts for centuries with its unmistakable sound.
The focus of the evening will be on the unforgettable compositions of Suat Sayın, one of the most important representatives of 20th-century Turkish music. His works combine elegance, melancholy and passion and are among the great treasures of the Turkish repertoire. The choir and accompanying musicians invite the audience on a musical journey full of emotion, culture and tradition – an encounter between East and West.
