The first Sports, Medicine & Health Summit, which takes place from October 29th to 31st, 2020 in Hamburg, is an innovative qualification format for sports, exercise and health. Top-class speakers from the disciplines of medicine, science and sports practice present cutting-edge knowledge and demonstrate interdisciplinary knowledge in comprehensive formats.
The Sports, Medicine & Health Summit is aimed at sports physicians, therapists, trainers, trainers, as well as club and association officials and interested parties. Over 3,000 national and international participants are expected to attend the congress.
The 10th edition of the "International Hamburg Sports Congress" is part of the Summit 2020: As a co-organizer, the Association for Gymnastics and Leisure organizes all events in the Forum Sport & Praxis!
The core of the summit is also the annual congress of the German Society for Sports Medicine and Prevention (DGSP), the 9th Congress of Exercise is Medicine of the “Exercise in Medicine Europe” (EIEIM) initiative.
Other events organized by partner organizations are being planned, including the German Association for Sports Science (dvs), the German Alliance for Noncommunicable Diseases (DANK), the Sports and Exercise Group of the German Diabetes Association (DDG), and the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
The representatives of the cities, who have been awarded the "Global Active City" label, will meet in a separate event format and will exchange ideas on exercise options in metropolitan areas and present "best practice examples". Representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) are also expected, as well as the European and worldwide association of sports medicine societies (including the European Federation of Sports Medicine Associations (EFSMA) and the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS )).
