Praised as "a forerunner of the new generation of classical guitarists" (BBC Radio), Michael Christian Durrant is now one of England's most outstanding young artistic personalities.
After his acclaimed debut concert in November 2018 in the concert series "Solo Moments" in Berlin, the London-based star guitarist Michael Christian Durrant once again gives the audience an insight into his artistic life and his artistic personality through the works he chooses.
He studied classical guitar with Professor Carlos Bonell at the Royal College of Music (London) and continued his studies with Professor Giulio Tampalini at the Accademia della Chitarra (Brescia).
In his numerous concerts, ranging from solo recitals to major orchestral ensembles, he has performed with violinist Alexander Markov, pianist Nico de Villiers and flamenco guitarist Samuel Moore.
The idea of "Solo Moments" is the presentation of young and impressive artist personalities in concert and conversation. Here, the musicians select pieces that have shaped their musical and human in a special way.
The concert will be moderated by Holger Wemhoff, who has already worked with classical stars such as Anna Netrebko, Lang Lang and Andreas Ottensamer.
The series "Solo Moments" was founded by the young brothers Stiff of concerts PAMPLONA concert management.

#Concerts with #young artists
The concert management cPAMPLONAcm was founded a year ago by the brothers Lucas Stiff (born 1998) and David Stiff (born 1995). As a violist and cellist influenced by classical music, music is itself inspiration and motivation for the two Berliners.
The focus of cPAMPLONAcm is on concerts with young outstanding artists - such as members of the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin and academics of the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
With new concert formats, such as the #Interactive Dvorak Quartet Cycle, cPAMPLONAcm delights the classical fans of Germany and Austria. The concept "Classic-Innovative" and the idea #Concerts With #Young Musicians has quickly become established in the most important concert halls from Hamburg, Berlin and Munich to Salzburg.
