The career of Soap&Skin alias Anja Plaschg began as a child prodigy of melancholic, dark songwriting. The Austrian has now released three albums and numerous compositions for theatre and film and is also a successful actress – most recently in the multi-award-winning film »Des Teufels Bad«, for which she also wrote the soundtrack. In addition to her own songs, she also delights audiences with impressive new interpretations of cover songs. With »TORSO«, an entire cover album with songs by David Bowie, Tom Waits, The Doors and the »Lifetime Version« of a French hit will be released in November 2024.

Reflektor-Bar: During the »Reflektor Sophie Hunger«, a temporary festival bar around the concerts invites you to round off the evening with delicious drinks or to get in the mood for the concerts. More information and opening hours

»Voyage Voyage« by Desireless from 1989 is a perfect example of Soap&Skin’s art: she has been singing the song for many years, letting it grow and changing her interpretation again and again. This »Lifetime Version« may well be the sum of her work to date, but it is certainly not the end of the story.

She can escape herself with the songs of other artists, says Anja Plaschg, »it can be both marvelous and frightening to enter those rooms, to open those fully furnished places of other souls, study every component, see what it does - change a spot or an angle, put words from strangers into one’s mouth, tell my story within the shape of others.«
