An extraordinary combination of sounds characterises this special concert evening: a clarinet, four saxophones and piano unite to form a fascinating ensemble that delights with sophisticated arrangements of classical dances and works by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Gershwin and other composers. Sabine Meyer, one of the world’s leading clarinettists, meets the renowned Alliage Quintet, which is known for its outstanding musicality and innovative programming. Together, they create a completely new world of sound that is characterised by both virtuosity and sensitive interpretation.

Under the title »Invitation to the Dance«, well-known masterpieces can be experienced anew in surprising instrumentations. At the same time, this concert marks Sabine Meyer’s farewell to the Hamburg stage – a last dance full of musical passion and intense emotions.
