Every good person between Passau and Flensburg knows that Max Goldt's work is very strange. However, it is still elusive that one reads exactly what is most finely crafted, what our literature has to offer, that it contains true miracles of elegance and poetry, and that its deceptive lines of thought hide the most precise composition and a dazzlingly bright moral intelligence always many who are only looking for laughter and punch lines. Max Goldt should be read, praised and distinguished.

Max Goldt, born in Göttingen in 1958, lives in Berlin. Together with Gerd Pasemann he formed the music duo "Foyer des Arts", in which he declaimed his own texts. Max Goldt has published ten comic books together with Katz. He not infrequently travels to the German-speaking world as a speaker of his own texts.
