The HAMBURGER ARCHITEKTUR SOMMER presents itself as a citizens‘ initiative in the culture of building and planning. Since 1994 it took place every three to four years. In 2023 we celebrate the 10. Hamburg Summer of Architecture. All Hamburg citizens are called upon to take part. Main museums, galleries, universities, building departments, cinemas, students, architects, artists will present their projects. Exhibitions, film, performances, talks, guided tours – all formats are welcome. As long as they cover subjects and themes on architecture, landscape planning, history of he city, space and design – mostly in an artistic context and depiction. From 2nd of May to end of July 2023 the Hamburg Summer of Architecture will present a plattform of city culture in more than 250 events at places and spaces all over Hamburg. This time a special focus is put on the SOMMER OF ARCHITECTURE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE with a lot of events for youngsters and children.
