Osaka 9 NachhaltigkeitsPavillon

In the Osaka 9 Sustainability Pavilion in Hamburg's HafenCity, visitors can find out about the most important areas of ecologically sustainable urban development.

Core issues of ecologically sustainable urban development can be experienced in the Osaka 9 exhibition pavilion at Magdeburger Hafen on 120 square metres in the middle of the HafenCity.
The Sustainability Pavilion on the Magdeburger Hafen waterfront promenade opposite the Maritime Museum and the Elbe Barqueades provides clear information about the various fields of action for sustainable urban development. A spatial sculpture consisting of stacks of used Euro pallets refers to the harbour and integrates multimedia information on all aspects of sustainable urban development. The main topics are a resource-efficient and mixed-use city structure, the energy- and time-saving mobility structure as well as sustainable energy supply and sustainable buildings in HafenCity. Guided environmental tours or playful quartet cards, which visitors can find in the special theme drawers, allow them to discover sustainable HafenCity projects and infrastructures that have already been implemented or are in the process of being implemented. Drinks, snacks and cakes for refreshment are available at the counter of the small fair-trade café bar.
Anyone interested in the inner-city urban development project should pay a visit to the HafenCity InfoCenter in the Kesselhaus.
