The Art Mile Hamburg consists of the following institutions:

The Bucerius Kunst Forum, which opened in 2002, presents three to four exhibitions a year on specific themes, often with international loans. It is also a place for discussion and exchange. The Hamburger Kunsthalle houses one of the largest and most important art collections in Germany with over 700 exhibits, focusing on German Romanticism and Classical Modernism. The Deichtorhallen, with its striking steel and glass architecture, provides an attractive backdrop for photography and art exhibitions. The Kunstverein Hamburg, founded in the 19th century, is located on Klosterwall and offers artists a space to present new perspectives on social issues. The Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe at Hamburg's Central Station showcases 4,000 years of design history, including ceramics, photography, interior design and the development of furniture, textiles and poster printing.
